LangSwipe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Usage Data

We collect data about how you use the Service, including your learning language selections, swipe responses, session statistics, grammar skill scores, and progress data. This data is used to personalize your learning experience.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system, and app version for analytics and to improve the Service.

Push Notification Data

If you enable push notifications, we collect your device push token and timezone to deliver habit reminders and streak alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Subscription Data

If you subscribe to LangSwipe Pro, we store your subscription status. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never receive or store your payment card details.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encryption at rest and in transit. We implement row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information. We use the following third-party services to operate the Service. Each provider is contractually required to protect your data to the same standard described in this policy:

• Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and data storage
• Vercel — web application hosting and serverless API infrastructure
• Google Gemini — grammar sentence generation (no personal data is sent; only anonymized language and difficulty parameters)
• Google & Apple Sign-In — third-party authentication providers (we receive only your name and email)
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management (processes your subscription status and purchase receipts)
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notification delivery (receives your device push token)
• Google AdMob— displays occasional interstitial ads to free users (may collect device identifiers for ad personalization; see Google's privacy policy for details)

We may also share data with law enforcement when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Tracking & Advertising

LangSwipe does nottrack you across other companies' apps or websites. We do not use fingerprinting or any form of cross-app tracking. We do not share your data with data brokers.

Free users may see occasional interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers to serve relevant ads. Premium subscribers do not see ads. You can limit ad personalization in your device privacy settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
